Before you go live: your launch checklist
Run through these final checks before you start taking bookings, so your customers have a smooth experience from their very first booking.
You've set up your account and your activities are ready to go. Before you share your booking links with customers, take a few minutes to run through these checks. It's the best way to make sure your first bookings go smoothly.
1. Check your account is verified
Every new eola account is verified by our team before it can take card payments or send emails to customers. If your Dashboard shows a 'Pending approval' banner, take a look at our Get your eola account verified guide.
2. Connect your payments
Once your account is verified, complete your payment details so you're ready to receive payouts from your bookings. Our Verify your account with Stripe guide walks you through it.
3. Look at your widget as a customer
Open your widget in a private browser window and click through each activity. Check your images, descriptions, prices and times, and that everything is in the right category.
4. Make a test booking
Make a booking from your Dashboard using your own email address as the customer, choose 'Paid in person', and tick to send the email confirmation. Label it as a test so your team knows. This lets you check your confirmation email, disclaimer and question pack just as a customer would see them. Once you're happy, cancel the booking.
5. Check your policies
Make sure your cancellation policy, disclaimers and question packs are set up and say what you'd like them to say.
6. Check your booking links
Make sure every 'Book now' button on your website and social media points to your own widget, so customers book straight with you.
7. Add your team
Invite your team so they can see the calendar, take bookings and check customers in on the day.
Good to know
- Confirmation emails are sent once your account has been verified, so make your test booking after verification to see the full customer experience
- When you view a disclaimer while logged in to eola, it shows as signed in your presence. Open it on another device to see it as a customer would
Helpful tips:
- Ask a friend to book through your widget on their phone. A fresh pair of eyes often spots something you've missed
- Run through the checklist again before each new season
