Choose images for your activities

Find out what makes a great activity image, the best size to use and how to add images that inspire customers to book.

Great images are one of the best ways to bring your activities to life. They help customers picture themselves taking part, and they can make a real difference to how many people go on to book.

What makes a great image?

  • Real photos: show people enjoying the activity, the setting and the atmosphere. Bright, vibrant photos work best
  • No text on the image: your activity title and description already tell customers the details, so let the photo do the inspiring
  • The main subject near the centre: this keeps the most important part of the photo in view on every device

You don't need professional equipment. Photos from a modern smartphone work well, and a small lift to brightness, contrast or colour can help a dull photo shine.

What size should my images be?

We recommend images that are 1920 x 1080 pixels. eola automatically crops your image to fit each screen, picking out the most important part of the photo, such as faces and the horizon, so it looks great on mobiles, tablets and desktops.

Add an image to an activity

To add an image, go to Products -> Activities and select 'Edit' on your activity.

  1. Go to the 'Options' step
  2. Open the Display section
  3. Upload your image
  4. Click Save and exit

Your new image may take a few seconds to appear. If it doesn't show straight away, refresh the page. Rentals have the same Display section on their Options step.
