Sell credit vouchers
Learn how to sell credit vouchers through your booking widget and at your desk, and how to stop selling them.
Credit vouchers are a great way to bring in revenue ahead of your season, and introduce new customers to your centre. Customers choose how much to put on the voucher, and can use it themselves or pass it on to someone else as a gift.
You can sell credit vouchers online through your booking widget and in person at your desk.
Sell credit vouchers online
To offer credit vouchers on your booking widget, go to Products -> Credit vouchers.
- Turn on 'Offer credit vouchers for sale'
- Voucher tagline: Add a short line (up to 120 characters) that shows in your widget
- Reporting code (optional): Add your own reference code if you use one
- Voucher text: Describe your vouchers on the page where customers buy them (up to 3,000 characters)
- Expiry period: Set how long purchased vouchers stay valid
- Voucher template and Text to display on pdf (optional): Upload your own design and add a message to the voucher PDF
- Click Save, or Save & preview to check how your voucher looks
Credit vouchers then appear on your widget's Vouchers & passes page. Customers choose an amount, pay by card and receive their voucher code by email, along with a PDF they can print or pass on.
Sell a credit voucher at the desk
- Click New booking at the top of your Dashboard
- Add the customer to the sale. Search for them, or create a new customer if they're not on the system yet
- Select 'Add Credit Voucher' and enter the amount
- Take payment as normal
A credit voucher is always saved to a customer's account, so make sure a customer is added before you take payment.
Stop selling credit vouchers
To take credit vouchers off your widget, go to Products -> Credit vouchers and turn off 'Offer credit vouchers for sale'. Vouchers customers have already bought can still be used until they expire.
Good to know
- Customers can buy a credit voucher of up to £1,500
- A credit voucher can't be used to buy another credit voucher, but it can be put towards an activity voucher or class pass
- Credit vouchers show on your payout report when they're bought, rather than when they're used
Helpful tips:
- Upload a voucher template with your own branding so the PDF feels like a lovely thing to give
- Ensuring the information you share on the voucher reads as exciting and positive for the person receiving it
- Use your voucher text to explain how long vouchers last and how to book with one
- Promote your credit vouchers in the run-up to Christmas and other gifting occasions
- If you'd like a hand setting up your vouchers, contact our team at help@eola.co and we'll be happy to help
