What each column shows
- Memberships: memberships held at the end of the month, including paused, overdue and trial ones. This month's figure is as of today
- New: memberships that started that month
- Ended: memberships that ended that month, for any reason
- Renewed: memberships that renewed, counted in the month the renewal was due
- Didn't renew: renewals that went unpaid until the membership ended, memberships that ran to the end of their term, and yearly renewals cancelled within 31 days of being paid
- Renewal rate: renewed, out of renewed and didn't renew
Good to know
- The report counts memberships, not people, so a family membership counts once
- If a member's membership runs out and they buy another of your memberships within 30 days, it counts as renewed
- Free memberships, passes of 31 days or less and weekly plans don't count towards your renewal rate
- The last two months may still change, for example if a late payment comes through
- Months are UK time
Helpful tips:
- Look at your renewal rate in the months before your season starts, and get in touch with members who haven't renewed
- Compare this year's new memberships with last year's to see how sign-ups are going
