My activity isn't showing on my widget

Find out why an activity or session might not be showing on your booking widget, what to check and how to get it back in front of customers.

If you've set up an activity but can't see it on your widget, or a particular session isn't showing, there's usually a simple reason. Work through the checks below and you'll have it back in front of your customers in no time.

The activity has no upcoming times

Activities only show on your widget when they have upcoming times that can be booked. If all the dates have passed, or every session is full, the activity becomes dormant and is hidden until you add more times. Go to Products -> Activities, select 'Edit' and check the 'Schedule' tab.

The activity is hidden from the public

Go to Products -> Activities -> Edit -> Options and open the Display section. If 'Hide from public' is ticked, or the activity is set to members only, it won't show to everyone on your widget.

The minimum notice has passed

Customers can't book a session once it's within your minimum notice period, so today's or tomorrow's sessions can disappear from your widget. You can still book customers in yourself from your Dashboard. Check the minimum notice in the activity's Options, or across your centre in Toolset -> Policies.

The session has been disabled or has started

Sessions you've disabled can't be booked online, and online booking closes when a session starts.

There's no space left

If a session is full, or the resources or instructors it needs are all booked, customers won't be able to book it.

The activity isn't in a category

If your widget is filtered by category, the activity needs to be added to a category to show. You'll find your categories in Toolset -> Widget -> Categories.

What should I check?

  1. Check the activity has upcoming times in its schedule
  2. Check 'Hide from public' and members only aren't switched on in the Display section
  3. Check the session isn't within your minimum notice period, disabled or full
  4. Check the activity is in a category if your widget uses them
  5. Refresh your widget page, as changes can take a moment to appear

If you've checked everything and the activity still isn't showing, contact our team at help@eola.co with the activity name and we'll be happy to help.

Helpful tips:

  • Keep your schedule topped up through the season so your activities stay live
  • View your widget in a private browser window to see exactly what your customers see
  • Use the direct link to your widget when sharing activities, so customers always land on your booking page
