Make an activity members-only
Learn how to make an activity bookable by members only, how your members sign in to book, and how to offer sessions to one specific group.
Making an activity members-only is a great way to reward your members and keep regular sessions, such as club nights or training, just for them. Only customers with a membership can book a members-only activity, and it isn't shown to the public on your widget.
Before you start
You'll need Memberships switched on and at least one membership set up. To switch it on, go to Toolset -> Apps and select 'Request access' on Memberships, or contact our team at help@eola.co and we'll set it up with you. Once it's on, create your membership in Products -> Memberships -> Create.
Make an activity members-only
To make an activity members-only, go to Products -> Activities and find the activity.
- Select 'Edit'
- Open the Options tab
- In the Display section, choose to make the activity available to members only
- Click Save and exit
If you'd like an activity to be open to particular memberships only, contact our team at help@eola.co and we'll help you set it up.
How members book
Members sign in to their eola account to see and book members-only sessions. They can sign in from your widget by selecting the account icon, entering the email address their membership is under and opening the magic link eola sends them.
Offer sessions to one specific group
If you'd like a group, such as a club or school, to have its own sessions, our team can help you set up a membership just for them that isn't shown on your main booking page. Contact us at help@eola.co and we'll talk it through.
Good to know
- Members-only sessions stay reserved for members, including bookings your team makes in the Dashboard
- To give members a discount or free entry on other activities without restricting them, add benefits to the membership instead
- Members-only activities don't appear on your widget for customers who aren't signed in as members
Helpful tips:
- Let new members know to look out for an email from eola and to add noreply@eola.co to their contacts
- Encourage regular members to tick 'Remember me' on their own devices so they stay signed in
- Mention in your membership description which sessions are members-only, so customers can see the value of joining
