Create a question pack

Learn how to create question packs in eola to collect relevant customer information before sessions, with various response options for activities, rentals, accommodation and memberships.

Question packs help you gather important information from customers before their session takes place. They allow you to collect relevant details in advance, helping your team prepare and deliver a better customer experience.

You can use question packs to collect anything from customer preferences and additional requirements to information your team needs to know before the activity begins.

You can create multiple question packs in eola, but each product or membership can only have one assigned question pack at a time.

Create a question pack

To create a question pack, go to Toolset -> Policies -> Question Packs -> Create Question Pack

You'll then be able to build your question pack by adding the information you need from your customers.

Add your question pack details

Start by adding a name for your question pack. Choose something clear and easy for your team to identify.

You can then add as many questions as you need. For each question, choose the type of response you'd like your customer to provide:

  • Yes/No: gives customers a simple dropdown option to select from
  • Text: allows customers to enter their own response into a text box

You can continue adding questions until you've collected all the information you need.

Once you're happy with your questions, click Create Question Pack.

Assign your question pack

Once created, you'll need to assign your question pack to the relevant activity, rental, accommodation or membership.

Customers will then be asked to complete the questions as part of their booking or membership process, allowing your team to have the information they need before the session takes place.

Helpful tips:
  • Be mindful of the information you collect and ensure questions are appropriate for the activity or membership. As with any customer data, make sure you are handling information responsibly and in line with your own GDPR obligations
  • Use mandatory questions for information you need before a customer can participate
  • Keep your question pack concise. Asking too many questions may make customers less likely to complete it fully
  • Consider what information your team would benefit from knowing before a session starts, such as experience level, preferences or requirements
  • Review your question packs regularly and update them as your activities or customer needs change
