# I can't see all my rental start times when making a booking

## Find out why some rental start times don't appear when you use New Booking, and how a quick change to your rental setup shows every start time.

If you're booking a walk-in customer onto a rental using New Booking and only some start times appear, while customers booking online can see them all, you're not doing anything wrong. It comes down to how your rental schedule is set up, and a quick tweak will show every start time on your side too.

**Why is this happening?**

The New Booking screen works out rental times from one continuous window of availability. If your rental's schedule has lots of separate start times (for example 11am to 1pm, 11.30am to 1.30pm and 12pm to 2pm), New Booking will show back-to-back slots, rather than every start time your customers see online.

**Update your rental setup**

To update your rental, go to Products -\> Rentals -\> Edit.

1. **Schedule:** Remove the separate start times and replace them with one window covering your hire hours for the day, for example 11am to 4.30pm
2. **Duration:** Set your Rentable Interval Duration to the gap you'd like between start times, for example 30 minutes. Then set your minimum and maximum rental duration, for example a 2-hour minimum and a 4-hour maximum
3. **Pricing:** Set your price per interval, so the total stays the same for your customers. For example, if a 2-hour hire is £30, set the price to £7.50 per 30 minutes
4. Click Save and Exit

Once that's done, you'll be able to book walk-ins at any start time through New Booking. They'll receive their automatic confirmation emails and appear in your bookings and reports, so there's no need to add calendar notes instead. Customers booking online will see the same start times they do now.

**Good to know**

- With a 30-minute interval, customers can choose any length between your minimum and maximum in 30-minute steps (for example 2.5 or 3 hours), rather than only fixed lengths
- Check your pricing for each hire option after making the change, so every duration adds up to the price you expect

**Helpful tips:**

- Test a booking through your widget after making changes, so you can see exactly what your customers see
- Linking resources to your rental means eola manages your equipment availability automatically, helping prevent overbooking
- If you'd like a hand updating your rental, contact our team at [**help@eola.co**](mailto:help@eola.co) and we'll be happy to talk it through with you
