Create a class pass

Learn how to set up a class pass so customers can pay upfront for a set number of sessions and redeem them each time they book.

A class pass lets customers buy a bundle of sessions in one go, such as a 10-swim pass or a block of lessons, then use it each time they book. It's a great way to encourage regular visits and build a base of repeat customers, and you're paid when the pass is bought.

You choose the price, how many times it can be used, how long it lasts and which activities it covers.

Create a class pass

To create a class pass, go to Products -> Class passes -> Create class pass.

  1. Class pass name: Give your pass a clear name, for example "10 swim pass"
  2. Tagline: Add a short line that sums up the pass
  3. Reporting code (optional): Add your own reference code if you use one
  4. Hide from public (optional): Tick this if you only want customers with a direct link to see the pass
  5. Image (optional): Upload an image to go with your pass
  6. Description: Explain what's included and who the pass is for
  7. Price: Enter the total price of the pass
  8. Max redemptions: Enter the number of times the pass can be used
  9. Expiry period: Enter a number and choose days, weeks, months or years
  10. Activities: Under 'Select the activities it can be applied to', tick each activity the pass can be used for
  11. Click Create class pass

Important: Each person on a booking counts as one redemption. If 3 people are on a booking, the pass will be redeemed 3 times.

Your new pass will appear on your widget's Vouchers & passes page, ready for customers to buy.

Good to know

  • If you don't tick any activities, the class pass can be used on all of your activities
  • You can see how many of each pass have been bought, and the revenue they've brought in, on your Products -> Class passes page

Helpful tips:

  • Include the number of sessions in the pass name so customers know exactly what they're buying
  • Pick an expiry period that suits your season, for example 3 months for a winter pass
  • Use 'Hide from public' for passes meant for a club or group
