# A customer's finance team wants to check eola's bank details

## Find out why invoices show eola's bank details and what to tell a school or company that wants to verify them before paying.

Schools, councils and larger companies often check a new supplier's bank details before they pay an invoice. It's good practice, and it's quick to sort out.

**Why does the invoice come from eola?**

Invoices are created by Stripe, eola's payment provider. Online payments, including bank transfers, are collected securely through eola and then paid out to you with your other bookings. That's why the invoice shows eola as the sender and the bank details are eola's. Your centre name, company number and VAT number appear on the invoice too.

**What should I tell them?**

- They can set your centre up as the supplier in their system and pay the invoice to the bank details shown on it
- They should use the invoice number as their payment reference, so the payment is matched to the invoice automatically
- If they send you a supplier form, complete it with your centre's company details and the bank details printed on the invoice
- If they'd like to verify the bank details with us directly, they can email our team at [**help@eola.co**](mailto:help@eola.co)
- If they'd prefer, they can pay by card using the link on the invoice

**Good to know**

- Paying through the invoice means the payment is matched for you and included in your payouts, so there's nothing extra to reconcile
- If your customer pays you directly instead, open the session, select 'Manage' and then 'Mark as paid' once the money arrives
- If your customer ever receives an email asking them to pay into different bank details, ask them to check with our team before paying

**Helpful tips:**

- Ask for the finance team's email address when you take the booking and send the invoice straight to them
- Mention the invoice number reference when you send the invoice, as it saves time later
- Leave enough time before the session for new supplier checks, which can take a week or two at some organisations
