A customer has asked for a payment receipt

Find out where your customers can find their payment receipt, and how you can check the details of their payment from your eola account.

Customers sometimes need a receipt for their records, for example when claiming back the cost of a course or activity from an employer or school. Every customer who pays through eola already has access to theirs, and you can check the details of their payment from your account too.

Where can the customer find their receipt?

There's a link to the payment receipt at the bottom of the confirmation email the customer received when they booked. Ask them to open that email and click the receipt link.

Can the customer get a VAT receipt?

The payment receipt shows what the customer paid, when and for which booking, which covers most requests. VAT receipts aren't available through eola at the moment, so if a customer needs one (for example to reclaim VAT through their employer), they'll need to request it from you directly.

Check the payment details yourself

You can view the details of any payment from the booking.

  1. Click into the booking
  2. Find the customer's name
  3. Click the price next to their name to see the full transaction details

This shows you how and when the customer paid, along with any refunds, which is useful if a customer has questions about their payment.

The customer can't find their confirmation email

Ask them to check their junk or spam folder, and to search for the email address they used when they booked. If they still can't find it, contact our team at help@eola.co with the customer's name, email address and booking date, and we'll send you a link to their receipt to pass on.

Helpful tips:

  • Check the customer's email address on the booking is correct, as this is where their confirmation and receipt are sent
  • Customers can also sign in to their eola account with the email address they booked with to see their bookings
  • Ask customers to add noreply@eola.co to their contacts, so future emails from eola land in their inbox
